With over 60 undergraduate programs, 50 plus graduate programs and bachelor's programs for working adults including the evening/weekend classes; the college remains one of the leading universities of United States of America.

University

Starting as a liberal arts college, the university has now expanded its study programs to include teacher education, medical education, social work and nursing. It began with the graduate programs in 1954, followed by a continuing education program in 1974, a business school in 1976, biological and bio-medical sciences division in 1983, pediatric medicine school in 1985 and a law school in Orlando, Florida, in 1999 respectively.

Campus and Library

A huge campus with 40 buildings also has indoor and outdoor sport facilities and technical labs. The William Barry Memorial Library has over 710,000 items, including 150 electronic databases, 5,000 audiovisual items, 2,600 periodical titles, an exceptional Catholic American collection and the documents pertaining to the Operation Pedro Pan.

The university sponsors sports championships in 14 sports for both men and women. The major sports include rowing, softball, volleyball, baseball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's tennis.

Student Activity and Publication

There are also many student organizations, student government, honor societies and fraternities and sororities operating within the campus. WBRY is a student-run campus radio station with the student DJs playing all kind of music from classic rock, jazz, pop to hip hop; talk shows, sports shows and daily news.

Barry Buccaneer is the name of 8-16 pages student newspaper, published from September to May. It is completely managed by the university students whether it is editing, writing, designing or advertising.
